Teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League will play their opening second-round league matches this weekend. Seven matches will be played at different venues throughout the province on Saturday afternoon, while only two are scheduled for Sunday.
After crushing Phomolong Ladies 4-1 at the Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa two weeks ago, Tshandama Young Stars are geared up to teach Masakona Liberty Experience a lesson when they meet at the Tshandama Makhithani Grounds on Saturday. Should they fail to collect the full points at stake against Liberty Experience, Young Stars will only have themselves to blame.
Liberty Experience are still to win a league match this season. Their best result was a 1-1 draw against Tshandama Young Stars in their opening league match, played at the Masakona Grounds. Stopping the likes of Mashudu "Mudagasi" Davhana and Arinao Mudzielwana will not be an easy task for Experience's defenders.
Lacoste Morning Stars will travel to Tshirenzheni village where they will lock horns with Two for Joy Ladies at the Tshirenzheni School Grounds. Morning Stars were beaten 0-1 by Two for Joy in their first-round league match, played at the Shayandima School Grounds about three months ago.
Rodadau FC will host Real Mighty Girls at the Tshitungulwane Grounds in the Vuwani area. Rodadau must win the match to keep their title hopes alive. They are currently lying in the second position on the log standings with 21 points. The Phalaborwa derby between Sealene Ladies and Phomolong Ladies will be played at the Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa.
The other title chasers, Sisters FC, will entertain Merwe United Ladies at the Bolobedu Grounds outside Tzaneen in one of the two fixtures scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The other fixtures are Ramatlaohle Ladies vs University of Limpopo Ladies, Marumo Gallants vs Seven Stars Ladies, Mandebele Happy Fighters vs Kanatla Ladies and Schoonoord Chiefs Ladies vs FC 50 Stars United.
