Two tricky hurdles for Leopards

The Absa Premiership League teams will play two league matches in the space of four days. The first matches will be played this weekend, while the other fixtures will be staged throughout the country next Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

The Absa Premiership League teams will play two league matches in the space of four days. The first matches will be played this weekend, while the other fixtures will be staged throughout the country next Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Black Leopards will play their weekend match against the newly promoted Chippa United at the Philipi Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday afternoon. United are fighting for survival as they are currently lying in the second-last position on the log. On the other hand, Black Leopards must win the match at all costs in order to move out of the relegation zone.

Lidoda Duvha will come back home to host the pace setters, Kaizer Chiefs, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane next Wednesday evening. Kaizer Chiefs will pin their hopes on their national players, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Bernard Parker, for goals. On the other hand, Leopards take pride in their defenders, Vincent Xakane, Humphrey Khoza and Enort Dzaga.

The other weekend fixtures are: Maritzburg City vs Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars vs Ajax Cape Town, Bloemfontein Celtic vs Bidvest Wits, Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Amazulu and Kaizer Chiefs vs Free State Stars.

The matches that will be played next Tuesday evening are: Mamelodi Sundowns vs Lamontville Golden Arrows, Ajax Cape Town vs Bloemfontein Celtic, Amazulu vs Supersport United.

The five matches that will be staged next Wednesday, 20 February, are: Free State Stars vs Maritzburg United, University of Pretoria vs Moroka Swallows, Orlando Pirates vs Platinum Stars, Black Leopards vs Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits vs Chippa United.
