United Artists maintained their unbeaten record by crushing Polokwane United FC 4-0 in their MMK Funeral Services League match at the Makwarela Stadium on Sunday.

The youthful Polokwane team started the game like a house on fire, but their stamina faded with time. Realizing that it would be difficult for them to match the players of Polokwane in terms of skills, Artists used their height advantage to neutralize them in the middle of the park.

Artists took the lead in the 26th minute. The keeper of Polokwane, Phuti Kgopa, committed a suicidal mistake by advancing out of the penalty area in a bid to clear a back pass. Artists' Rastafarian striker, Moses Luvhimbi, intercepted the pass and sent the ball into the empty net.

Polokwane realized that it was not their day when they missed a fortune in the 39th minute. They were awarded a penalty after Piet Maleka was brought down within the box. Dingaan Ledwaba shot wide from the spot.

Thomas "Razor" Makhubele scored the second goal with a header in the 58th minute after a corner kick that was taken by Moses Luvhimbi. The keeper of Polokwane, Phuti Kgopa, was booked for handling the ball outside the penalty area. Artists then replaced Robert Baloyi and Samuel Mathebula with Jeffrey Mungoni and Dakalo Ravhura. Mungoni made his presence felt when he scored the third with a header. Ravhura was on target late in the game, to bring the final score to 4-0.
