United Artists ready for Home Defenders

The teams campaigning under the banner of the ABC Motsepe League in the Limpopo Stream will play their last league matches this weekend before they break for the festive season.

The teams campaigning under the banner of the ABC Motsepe League in the Limpopo Stream will play their last league matches this weekend before they break for the festive season.

The match expected to attract a huge number of spectators will be between United Artists and Mpheni Home Defenders at the Makhuvha Stadium on Friday afternoon. Whether United Artists will have enough strength to stop Home Defenders is something that remains to be seen. Home Defenders are still to drop a league point this season. They managed to win all six games they had played to date. Artists must win the game to enhance their chances of escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season.

Home Defenders are still fresh from a 1-0 victory over Bellevue Winners Park at the Louis Trichardt High School Grounds last Saturday. On the other hand, United Artists are still in pain from their 0-1 defeat at the hands of Musina United at the Musina Old Mine Stadium. United were beaten 0-1 by Home Defenders in their first-round league match that was played at the Louis Trichardt High School Grounds about three months ago.

After hosting United Artists at the Musina Old Mine Stadium last Friday, Musina United will play another match at home. They will entertain Munaca FC at the same venue on Saturday. A win for Munaca will enhance the team's chances of promotion.

Vondwe XI Bullets are waiting for Mikhado FC, with whom they will fight for league points at the Tshifudi Stadium. The Mopani derby between Bellevue Winners Park and Giyani Happy Boys will be played at the Giyani Stadium. The other fixtures are The Dolphins FC vs Mighty FC, Tubatse United vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Tzaneen United vs Ditlou FC and PJ Stars vs Phinnet City FC.
