Renowned Limpopo poet and praise singer Vendaboy Poet is poised to set the stage ablaze and leave fans eating out of his hand as he headlines his highly anticipated One Man Show.
The show, the second of its kind, will take place at the Thulamela Library Auditorium in Thohoyandou on 18 December, starting at 17:00. Among the supporting acts performing on the day are top musician and poet the legendary Burning Saul Nephawe, Solly Ramatswi, Ntsako Poet, Poetess Landa, and the Vhuisa Sialala Group.
The award-winning poet, who has performed for President Cyril Ramaphosa twice, said the show was like a year-end function where he would be celebrating and closing the year in style with his fans.
"Get ready for an unforgettable night of poetry, music, and cultural celebration. Come and experience powerful praise poetry, soul-stirring music, traditional Venda storytelling, and inspiring themes of identity, culture, and resilience. This time around, I have roped in some of the top local performers to come and share the stage with me," he said.
Vendaboy invited residents to relax during the show and enjoy the occasion. "This year, it will be bigger and more improved, especially designed for my fans," he said.
Vendaboy further indicated that the show was of great importance. "The show celebrates Venda culture and heritage while preserving traditional storytelling and poetry. It also provides a platform for social commentary and reflection. Revellers will experience the richness of Venda poetry and culture. I promise you will all be inspired by the powerful performance I will give. I will also avail myself for photos with my fans," he said.
