Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) are gearing up for two tough battles. They will host the newly promoted MM Platinum FC at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday. They will then travel to Potchefstroom next Wednesday, where they will fight for league points against Platinum City Rovers at the Olën Park Stadium.
Vhadau Vha Damani, as they are also known, must collect at least four points in the two matches to keep their title hopes alive. The Tshakhuma side started the new season on a bad note with last Sunday's 0-2 defeat at the hands of Casric Stars at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga.
The club's marketing manager, Mr Livhuwani Madzuhe, is adamant that nothing will prevent them from collecting the six points at stake. He reiterated the fact that they wanted to win the two matches at all costs to boost the team's morale.
MM Platinum will not go back to Johannesburg after their game against TTM; they will remain in Limpopo instead until their next match against Black Leopards, which will be played at the Malamulele Stadium next Wednesday, 14 September.
Black Leopards will first travel to Polokwane on Saturday before next week's fixture against MM Platinum. They will play against Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
In the other matches that will also be played on Saturday, Baroka FC will fly to Cape Town, where they will rub shoulders with Cape Town All Stars at the Athlone Stadium.
The other Polokwane-based side, Magesi FC, will also play away from home. They will visit Cape Town Spurs at the Cape Town Stadium. Magesi are still fresh from last Saturday's 1-0 victory over Venda Football Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The other weekend fixtures are: Hungry Lions vs Pretoria Callies, JDR Stars vs Casric Stars and Uthongathi FC vs University of Pretoria FC.
