Vhadau vha Damani’s goal has now shifted to avoid being relegated

Most ABC Motsepe League Limpopo Stream teams played their first-round fixtures, but Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) lags with only one win in ten matches. Despite their poor performance and second-to-last standing, the club president remains confident they will avoid relegation.

Except for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM), who have a match in hand, most teams in the ABC Motsepe League’s Limpopo Stream played their first-round fixtures over the weekend.

TTM represented Limpopo in the Nedbank Cup round of 32, but their league campaign has been disappointing.

TTM, or Vhadau vha Damani as they are affectionately known, have managed only one win in 10 matches — a 1-0 victory over Vondwe XI Bullets at Tshifulanani Stadium on Sunday, 30 November last year. The once-pride of Tshakhuma are second from bottom on the log with six points, having conceded 15 goals and scored only four.

Despite the team’s precarious position, club president Mr Masala Mulaudzi remains confident they will collect enough points in their remaining fixtures to finish in a respectable position.

Mulaudzi said it was too early for supporters to panic, adding that the team’s focus had been on the Nedbank Cup before their 4-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 7 February. He said their immediate target was to avoid relegation.

Mpheni Defenders lead the log with 27 points. TTM travel to face them at the Mpheni Grounds on Saturday.
