The much-anticipated Vhembe Craft Market will be launched on 14 June at the Thohoyandou Botanical Gardens. The event promises a vibrant showcase of local artisans, designers and creative entrepreneurs.
Event manager and co-organiser Mr Muthaduli "Nipro" Ratombo said the market celebrated the rich diversity of handmade crafts, fashion, home décor and gourmet treats, offering attendees an unforgettable cultural experience.
"Vhembe Craft Market is both a creative hub and a commercial platform, connecting local talent to the broader public while celebrating the essence of Limpopo's vibrant culture. All members of the public, media and stakeholders are invited to attend and take part in the festivities," said Ratombo.
He said the market offered emerging and established creatives an opportunity to showcase their talent, connect with customers and share their artistic journeys. "With a carefully curated selection of handcrafted goods, visitors can discover one-of-a-kind items – from intricately designed jewellery to bespoke textiles and organic products," he said.
Beyond shopping, the event promises an immersive cultural experience, with live music performances and a range of food vendors serving local delicacies.
