Vhembe's rogue teams get fined

During its sitting at the league offices in Thohoyandou last Saturday, the disciplinary committee of the Safa Vhembe Hollywood Bet League imposed heavy fines on several clubs.

Muraleni United were fined R5,000 for using an unregistered player, Khuthadzo Konyane, during their match against Ramantsha Blackpool. Konyane was also suspended for the entire season. Additionally, three match points were awarded to Blackpool.

Tshikovha Arsenal were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their match against Duthuni Happy Boys. A fine of R3,000 was imposed on Arsenal, who also forfeited the points.

Mashamba Benfica were fined R4,000 for failing to mark the field properly in their match against Mukondemi Shooting Stars. They forfeited the three points to Shooting Stars.

Dzwerani United Brothers were fined R4,000 for failing to provide adequate security at their own venue during their match against Samsa FC. The DC ordered that the match be replayed at a neutral venue.

Greenway Academy appeared before the DC to answer a charge of causing the indirect abandonment of their league match. Their coach also continued to give instructions after being shown a red card during the match against Ramantsha Blackpool. They were fined R3,000 and forfeited the league points.

Vuwani City had fewer than the minimum number of players allowed on the field during a match. They were fined R3,000 and forfeited the league points.
