At just 16 years old, Sasavona Precious Makamu of Vhufuli village outside Thohoyandou is proving that beauty is about far more than appearance. As an official finalist in the Miss Limpopo Province Teen 2026 pageant, she is determined to use the platform to inspire young people, serve her community and proudly bring the provincial crown home.
The Grade 11 learner at Tshivhase Secondary School believes every dream begins with courage, determination and a willingness to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her journey into modelling has been driven by purpose rather than fame, with community service forming the foundation of everything she does.
Makamu first made her mark when she was crowned Miss Khathu082 on 12 December 2025, a title she says transformed her into a more confident, compassionate and purpose-driven young woman.
Beyond the runway, Makamu has dedicated much of her time to community outreach. One of her most memorable experiences was visiting Grace and Love Special School in Tshilapfene village, where she spent time encouraging learners living with disabilities and sharing moments of joy with them. She also supported the elderly by donating food to Gateway Old Age Home in Maniini.
Away from modelling, Makamu enjoys debating, which has helped sharpen her confidence and public-speaking skills. Her personal motto, “Let your purpose speak louder than your presence”, reflects the values she lives by every day.
“The impact I make should always be greater than the attention I receive. I want my kindness, leadership and service to speak louder than any title I hold,” she says.
The Miss Limpopo Province Teen 2026 finale will be held at Moropa at Montecasino on 27 September 2026.
