Vhulelu Pool Club have reason to celebrate after being crowned the 2025/26 champions of the Vhembe Pool Association (VPA) during a ceremony at Muledane Ha Vho-Maria Bar Lounge last Saturday evening. Vhulelu received R15,000 and a trophy at the event.
Lapadada Pool Club's Ntshavheni "Decor" Themeli was the most decorated player of the night. He was named Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season, and also received the Players' Player of the Tournament award. Themeli collected three trophies and R900. Tshedza Maphangwa of Vhulelu Pool Club received the Coach of the Season award.
Lapadada Pool Club are still in high spirits after being crowned champions of the VPA Tournament. They received R5,000 and a trophy. Mutshutshu Neshehe of Lapadada was named Best Coach of the tournament, while the Players' Player of the Tournament award went to Phumudzo Thangwana of Muimeleli Pool Club.
Association chairman Madzanga Kwinda thanked the players and club officials for their good conduct throughout the season. He said the number of clubs was expected to increase to 12 next season. Ten teams from around Vhembe were affiliated with the association during the 2025/26 season.
