Local artist Nkhumeleni Ndou, popularly known by his stage name of VP Talking, has released a new R&B single, Uva Namusi, featuring fellow musician Pross Boy.
VP Talking is a multi-instrumentalist with a deep passion for music and the joy it brings. He said music had always played a significant role in his life. He emphasised the importance of spreading love through music. "I'm definitely someone who embraces love, so it wasn't difficult to come up with such a jam. The new song will get audiences dancing while celebrating love at the same time," he said.
The single, he explained, tells the story of the challenges he has faced and how he has managed to overcome them. He added that the song was already doing well, despite limited promotion. He said the response he had received since the single's release was a clear sign that he was on the right track. He hopes the song will be a breakthrough moment, helping him establish himself in the competitive R&B music scene.
But the promising young artist has never given up on his dreams. "There was a point where I nearly gave up, thinking that my career was doomed because of my financial issues," he said.
He expressed gratitude for the support his new single has received. "I am grateful to my fans for this massive support, and within just a week of its release. It's gaining traction quickly, compared to my previous EP," he said.
VP Talking encouraged young aspiring musicians to pursue the craft with genuine passion — "like a duck taking to water".
