Update, leak repaired on Albasini line.
The newspaper confirmed this morning with Mr Brian du Plooy (DA councillor in the Makhado Municipality) that the massive leak, on the Alabsini pipe line, has been repaired.
This leak erupted yesterday near the Alabsini's raw water treatment plant and caused a delay in water supply to Louis Trichardt and surrounding areas. According to Du Plooy the leak had been repaired late on Thursday evening, where after contractors resumed to pump water to Louis Trichardt.
The water is still muddy, and should not be used for drinking or cooking.

Local DA (Democratic Alliance) ward councillor, Mr Brian du Plooy, urged residents to prepare themselves and save water any way they can.
"We do not have enough tankers and reservoirs are empty," Du Plooy, said.
