Well-known teacher passes away

Well-known and well-loved teacher Mrs Emily Boyd (64) passed away on Tuesday after two years of illness.

MAKHADO (LOUIS TRICHARDT) – Well-known and well-loved teacher Mrs Emily Boyd (64) passed away on Tuesday after two years of illness.

She leaves behind her husband George (owner of Rainbow Midas in town), her daughters Cathy, Janine and Ruth and sons-in-law Ettiene and Ed and four grandchildren.

The late Ms Boyd was a well-loved teacher in the community for many years. Family members said that she had recently remarked that some of her nursery school kids are writing matric this year.

The Boyd family moved to Louis Trichardt in 1973 from Pietersburg.

The family expressed their thanks towards Dr Gaigher, who cared for Emily during her illness. They also thanked Dr Fred Badenhorst and the staff at the local Medi Clinic for their assistance this week.
