The 11th edition of the Bilisi Sports Festival will be staged at the Tshenzhelani Grounds in the Niani area this weekend.
Eight teams from the Musina Local Football Association (MLFA) will take part in this year's tournament. The eight teams gearing up for the sporting weekend are Dovho Bornfree, Malale Boys, Tshivhongweni Mighty Bucks, Madavhila Krugerport, Tshikuyu Hot Chillies, Maramanzhi Pull Together, Mutele Mountain Rangers and Tshenzhelani Diitele.
The quarter-final matches will be played on Saturday, while the semi-final and final matches are scheduled for Sunday. The draws for the quarter-final matches were conducted last Saturday. The quarter-final fixtures are: Malale Boys vs Tshivhongweni Mighty Bucks, Mutele Mountain Rangers vs Dovho Bornfree, Madavhila Krugerport vs Maramanzhi Pull Together and Tshenzhelani Diitele vs Tshikuyu Hot Chillies.
This year's champions will take home R5 000, a soccer kit and a soccer ball. Cash amounting to R2 500, a soccer kit and a soccer ball are waiting for the team that will finish in second place. Teams booted out of the tournament in the semi-final stage will each receive R1 200.
According to the founder of the tournament, Mr Richard "Bilisi" Rambiyana, the tournament will be preceded by a fun run.
