Who will lift the Bilisi Sports Festival trophy?

The 14th Mulfa Bilisi Sports Festival kicks off this weekend at Tshenzhelani Grounds, featuring eight teams competing for the biggest prize money in the tournament's history. Alongside thrilling football, a fun run organised by the South African National Defence Force will precede Saturday's quarter-final matches.

The Tshenzhelani Grounds in the Niani area will be a hive of activity this weekend when the much-anticipated 14th Mulfa Bilisi Sports Festival takes place.

Eight teams affiliated with the Musina Local Football Association (Mulfa) will compete in this year's tournament. They are Malale Black Cat, Tshikuyu Hot Chilies, Madavhila Krugerport, Masisi FC, Masisi Young Stars, Mutele Mountain Rangers, Sigonde Junior Chiefs and the hosts, Tshenzhelani Diitele.

The quarter-finals will be played on Saturday, with the semi-finals and final scheduled for Sunday.

According to the founder of the tournament, Mr Richard "Bilisi" Rambiyana, this year's event will offer the biggest prize money in the tournament's history.

The champions will receive R7,500, the floating trophy, gold medals and a soccer kit. The runners-up will take home R4,500, silver medals and a soccer kit, while the two losing semi-finalists will each receive R2,500.

The quarter-final matches will be preceded by a fun run organised by the South African National Defence Force.
