Late afternoon commuters at Thohoyandou´s Mvusuludzo taxi rank watched in dismay as a bloodied man staggered around aimlessly a fortnight ago. The man is believed to have been attacked at another part of the rank after being mistakenly identified as a mugger. The man suffered serious head injuries in the attack. The man, believed to be related to a well known reggae artist, said he did not know why he was attacked. He looked confused and onlookers were busy calling for an ambulance to take him to the hospital. In the picture, curious onlookers gathered around the man, clearly shocked by the sight of blood gushing from his wounds.
