Most of the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League will play their second-last league matches for the current soccer season this weekend.
Whether Nkowankowa Continentals will rise to the occasion and spoil Vondwe XI Bullets' party when they meet at the Makonde Stadium on Saturday afternoon remains to be seen. Vondwe XI Bullets have reason to start preparing for the national promotional playoffs. Bullets are in second place on the log with 33 points, one behind the pace setters, Munaca FC. However, Bullets have three matches in hand and need just five points from their remaining fixtures to secure a place in the playoffs.
Continentals will need to double their efforts to neutralise the Bullets' strikers, Phathutshedzo Nemagovhani, Talifhani Manyaga, and Lucky Mutshotsho. Bullets are still in a celebratory mood, following their 2-0 victory over Tzaneen United at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen last Saturday, while Continentals were beaten 1-0 by Maruleng Celtic on the same day.
Black Leopards are gearing up for a tough battle when they meet Mpheni Defenders at the Mpheni Grounds. Although they are in fourth place on the log, Defenders still stand a chance to finish the season at the top of the stream.
Winners Park and Musina United will fight for points at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Maruleng Celtic will host Munaca FC at the Mankoko Stadium outside Hoedspruit. United Artists will face Tzaneen United at the Makhuvha Stadium.
The other fixtures are: White Vultures vs Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup, Ditlou FC vs City Motors, Tubatse United vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Sun Rise vs Mighty FC, and The Dolphins FC vs Lebash Football Academy.
