The battle for an early lead in the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League will continue this weekend.
Whether Lacoste Morning Stars will have the strength to stop Sinthumulekutama FC when they meet at the Sinthumule High School Grounds on Saturday remains to be seen. Sinthumulekutama is the only team yet to drop points this season.
The team sits atop the stream after winning all three matches played so far. They crushed Real Mighty Ladies 6-0 in their opening game and beat Sisters FC 2-0 two weeks ago. Sinthumulekutama were unstoppable in their 5-1 victory over Univen Ladies last Saturday.
Morning Stars cannot be underestimated, considering their performance in two games played to date. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Univen Ladies at Univen Stadium two weeks ago and thrashed Tshandama Young Stars 3-0 at Shayandima School Grounds last Saturday.
Rodadau FC will host Univen Ladies at Tshitungulwane Grounds in the Vuwani area. Rodadau's strikers, Shonisani Mafela and Relebogile Makoka, will be a threat to Univen's defence if not well marked.
After traveling to Shayandima last Saturday, Tshandama Young Stars will be on the road again when they visit Sealene Ladies at the Sealene Grounds in Phalaborwa.
Masakona Liberty Experience will entertain Sisters FC at the Masakona Grounds. Toronto Ladies and Golden Diamonds Ladies will contest for league points at the Ga-Makibelo Grounds in Polokwane.
Other weekend fixtures are: Ramahlaohle Ladies vs Maindis Ladies, Kanatla Ladies vs Farm Girls Ladies, and University of Limpopo vs Dinaledi Ladies.
