Will Muzeu join Sekhukhune United?

Following Black Leopards' relegation, Namibian striker Bethuel Muzeu is a prime target for Betway Premiership clubs. Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu are reportedly leading the race for his signature, with Sekhukhune having tabled the most attractive offer.

Following the club’s relegation at the end of the recently concluded Motsepe Foundation Championship season, Black Leopards are likely to lose several experienced players to Betway Premiership clubs. One of them is Namibian striker Bethuel Muzeu.

Although several Premiership clubs are reportedly interested in the Namibian international, Limpopo Mirror has learnt that Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu are the frontrunners to secure his signature. According to a source close to the negotiations, Sekhukhune United has tabled the most attractive offer and could conclude a deal before the weekend.

The 26-year-old joined Black Leopards from Namibian side Tura Magic FC on 1 July 2022 and finished as the club’s top scorer in each of the past two seasons.

Muzeu first came to prominence in 2019 when he represented Namibia at the African Under-20 Cup of Nations, scoring on his debut at international level. He made his senior debut on 12 July 2022 when Namibia beat Madagascar 2-0 and has since earned 10 caps for his country.

Asked about his future following Leopards’ relegation, Muzeu said he was unaware of any offers from Betway Premiership clubs and that his agent was handling the matter.

Black Leopards chairman Tshifhiwa Thidiela said he was not aware of any plans by Muzeu to join either Sekhukhune United or AmaZulu.
