This weekend will see the teams campaigning under the auspices of the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League going about their business as usual. Four matches will be played at various places throughout the province on Saturday, with only two fixtures scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Whether Tshandama Young Stars will rise to the occasion and manage to spoil Rodadau's party is something that remains to be seen. Rodadau and Young Stars will rub shoulders at the Tshitungulwane Grounds outside Vuwani in one of the four matches that will be played on Saturday.
Winning the match will not be easy for Rodadau, even though they will be playing in front of their home crowd, if Stars' performance last weekend in their game against the pace setters, Sisters FC, is anything to go by. Young Stars were leading 1-0 for the better part of the game and only conceded a goal two minutes before the final whistle was blown.
Rodadau are one of the three teams closely contesting for the league championship. They are two points behind the log leaders, Sisters FC. Young Stars had lost 0-1 to Rodadau in their first-round league match at the Tshandama Grounds. Rodadau are still fresh from last weekend's 5-0 victory over Masakona Liberty Experience.
The Stars' captain, Hulisani Madiba, is likely not to be in the team's starting 11 on Saturday. She was taken off the pitch on a stretcher in their game against Sisters last Saturday. The likes of Arinao Mudzielwana and Tshanduko Masakona will be expected to do the job in her absence. Rodadau will pin their hopes on Lethabo Sello and Mmanoko Molele for goals.
The other weekend fixtures are Real Mighty Girls vs Two for Joy Ladies FC, Sealene Ladies vs Sisters FC, Lacoste Morning Stars vs Merwe United Ladies, Phomolong Ladies vs Masakona Liberty Experience and Seven Stars Ladies vs University of Limpopo Ladies.
