With most teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League having only four matches left before the end of the current soccer season, the race for the league title and to avoid relegation is still wide open.
Whether United Artists will rise to the occasion and defeat White Vultures when they meet at Makhuvha Stadium on Saturday remains to be seen. Saturday's fixture will be White Vultures' second consecutive match after playing to a goalless draw with Vondwe XI Bullets at Makonde Stadium last Saturday. White Vultures are currently in second place, tied on 31 points with pace-setters Munaca FC. United Artists have only pride at stake as they are comfortably positioned on the log.
Vondwe XI Bullets will travel to Tzaneen to face Tzaneen United at Nkowankowa Stadium. Although they are currently in third place, Bullets have a strong chance of finishing their league programme at the top of the log. Bullets have played three fewer matches than the top two teams. Stopping Bullets' strikers, Phathutshedzo Nemagovhani and Lucky Mutshotsho, will be a tough challenge for United's defenders.
Black Leopards will host Munaca FC at the Polokwane Training Centre Grounds. Leopards must aim to secure at least a draw against Munaca or risk running out of time to correct their mistakes. Leopards are currently in second-to-last place on the log with 14 points.
The other weekend fixtures are Musina United vs Mpheni Defenders, Nkowankowa Continentals vs Maruleng Celtics, Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup vs Winners Park, City Motors vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Mighty FC vs Tubatse United, Mohlabile United vs The Dolphins FC, and Mokopane PJ Stars vs Sun Rise FC.
