Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown suspect after a 35-year-old woman was stabbed during a house robbery at Nkavele village in the Saselamani policing area. The incident occurred at about 22:00 on Thursday, 9 July.
According to police, the woman was at home with her two young children when an unknown man entered the yard and demanded a cellphone. Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the suspect took the woman's cellphone before stabbing her in the upper body and fleeing into nearby bushes.
Despite her injuries, the woman managed to report the incident in person at Saselamani Police Station before she was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations are continuing as police search for the suspect.
