Thohoyandou Town Hall will be the place for boxing fans to be to be tomorrow evening (Friday). Mulenzhe World Sports Promotion will stage a female professional boxing tournament.
Five title bouts and four non-title bouts will be seen. The opening bout will be a WBF international title fight between Ndombanyini Kolosa from East London and a girl from the local stable, Rider Muleba. Muleba is the pride of Tshidzini village.
It will the first time for Muleba to fight in front of her home crowd at professional level. She said that she was ready and could not wait to beat Kolosa. She mentioned that she had watched a number of Kolosa's fights where in all instances she beat her opponents convincingly.
"Yes, I agree that Kolosa is a good fighter, but I am not afraid of her," said Muleba. Although she has been out of action for a year, Muleba stated that she was fit for the fight, both physically and mentally. The last time Muleba fought was when she lost on points to Asandisa Qokwane at the Secunda Hall in August last year. The bout is scheduled over ten rounds.
The second bout will see the WBF bantam-weight champion, Matsidiso Mokebitsi, exchange blows with Melisah Miller from Zimbabwe over 10 rounds if fought to the finish. Esther Mashia and Mapule Ngubane, both from Gauteng, will meet in a WBF international middleweight bout over 10 rounds.
The main supporting bout will be a bantam flyweight title fight between Moruti Bayface Muthalane and Dalisiwe Komani. Muthalane and Komani hail from Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape.
In the main bout, Bukiwe Nonina from East London will meet Rinata Domsy from Hungary. They will be fighting for the vacant WBF international bantamweight title over 10 rounds.
