Vhugala Rambuda, an upcoming local musician, known by his stage name of Worth V Voculz, is determined to leave a lasting impression in the music industry. Growing up in Vuwani, a community rich in cultural heritage, he was exposed to a diverse range of musical influences that ignited his own artistic exploration.
Worth V Voculz's upbringing in a musical household, where his parents were pastors, introduced him to music. His journey began as a worship minister in his father's church, where his passion, creativity, and deep desire to connect with his fans on a profound level were fuelled. "I found solace in the rhythm and soundscapes that music offers. It became the driving force behind my creative endeavours," he said.
Today, in a world where music has the power to touch souls and inspire change, he is making waves with his unique fusion of genres and heartfelt lyrics. He has developed a sound that defies categorisation, blending elements of Pop, Afro-Pop, Hip-hop, and Afro into a captivating musical experience.
So far, he has released one full album, titled Athinga Neti (released in 2016), and he recently added another single to his whole list of previously released singles. The latest offering, called Wanga-Re-edition (featuring Romeo ThaGreatWhite), has been setting off some very good vibes within the local music scene. "This is my best work to date, and I strive to consistently surpass it," he said.
He feels the local music scene has played a significant role in shaping his artistry, instilling in him a profound pride in his mother tongue, the Tshivenda language. "Legends like Colbert Mukwevho, who fearlessly produced world-class reggae music in his mother tongue, have inspired my own journey," he said.
