Yingwani in court for selling dagga to pupils

A resident of Tsianda appeared before the Vuwani Magistrate's Court last Tuesday, after he had been arrested by the Levubu police for allegedly selling dagga to Mushonga Mavhungu High School pupils.

A resident of Tsianda appeared before the Vuwani Magistrate's Court last Tuesday, after he had been arrested by the Levubu police for allegedly selling dagga to Mushonga Mavhungu High School pupils.

Mr Nkhangweleni Yingani was arrested last week after he was found in possession of dagga. Yingani pleaded guilty to the charge and was given a R2 000 fine or three months imprisonment sentence. He paid the fine and was released.

The spokesperson for the Levubu police, W/O Solly Mukhola, said that the police had curbed incidents of dagga dealing at the school. "We will be monitoring the school on a daily basis to ensure that it is a crime-free learning environment," he said.
