For as long as she could remember, words have been her refuge. While others find solace in conversation, Dzhavhelo Mukwevho, a 20-year-old resident of Tshino in Vuwani, struggles to express herself verbally, stumbling over her emotions like a traveller lost in a storm.

But the storm quieted when Mukwevho began to put pen to paper, and the words formed bridges between her heart and the world. Writing was not just a skill for her - it was her sanctuary, her salvation.

Mukwevho made a remarkable entrance into the literary world with her debut book, A Circle of Pain. Her novel explores themes of struggle, resilience, and self-discovery, offering readers an emotional yet inspiring journey.

Mukwevho's writing is deeply personal, shaped by her own experiences with self-expression. The protagonist of A Circle of Pain faces overwhelming challenges but ultimately learns to rise above them. Through detailed character development and vivid storytelling, Mukwevho crafts a tale that feels both intimate and universally relatable.

She says she completed A Circle of Pain in less than a month, writing from the comfort of her home in September 2024. She didn't write this book simply to tell a story; she wrote it to inspire. Mukwevho wants readers - especially those going through difficult times - to find hope and courage within its pages. The novel encourages self-reflection and reassures readers that struggles are part of the journey to success and self-realisation.

Her aim extends beyond storytelling; she hopes to spark conversations about personal growth and resilience while using her platform to address important social issues.
