Sixteen-year-old Bianca Divhula from Tshiozwi village has made the semi-finals of the Miss Limpopo 2024 beauty pageant. If she advances to the final, she will compete against 20 other young women at the crowning ceremony, scheduled to be held at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane on Friday, 25 November.
Bianca, a Grade 10 learner at Sinthumule High School, describes herself as a caring, vibrant, ambitious, confident, and compassionate individual. "I believe that every part of who I am and everything I went through in life has prepared me for this amazing journey. Modelling is a tough terrain, but trying harder and believing in myself is what keeps me going," she said.
Bianca appreciates the support she receives from her parents, especially her mom. "I want to be an inspiration to every girl to chase their dreams, embrace their future and use their voices," she said.
Her role model is a former Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida. She also believes that education is a very important part of her future career. "Beauty without brains is worthless. Education is crucial as it opens doors for us. My biggest motivation of all is my family. They are my biggest source of inspiration, and my strongest supporters as well. When I see my parents working, it gives me the drive to be like them. Their dedication to their work is what inspires me."
Having participated in the Face of Makhado beauty pageant in 2022, where she earned the title of first princess, Bianca is no stranger to the world of modelling. She sees her involvement in such competitions as a means to reach out, offer advice, and provide support to others.
