The deceased are Mr Thomas Mudau who is said to be in his thirties and the 19-year-old Doris Ravele-Ndadza, also from Tshino.
According to rumours Thomas board a taxi to Soshanguve on Friday, August 30, to visit his girlfriend, Doris. It is also said that Doris was often heard talking to Thomas telephonically that she was proposing ending the relationship.
"On Saturday we met them on the street while they were on their way to the shops, but we were so baffled when we heard that both of them have died," said one of Doris' schoolmates. It is also rumoured that Thomas first assaulted Doris several times as an indication that he was not accepting what she was saying. When her body was found, Doris had several stab wounds and she had allegedly bled profusely. After realising that she was dead, Thomas allegedly hanged himself.
According to Insp Mufamadi, police spokesperson in Pretoria, they found the bodies of Doris and Thomas inside the room. "Doris' body was in a pool of blood, and it is clear that Thomas committed suicide after noticing that Doris was dead," said Mufamadi.
Thomas was buried last week Sunday at Tshino while Doris will be buried today (Friday) at Mapate.
