The fight for promotion and to escape the relegation axe at the end of the season will continue among the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League this weekend.
Sisters FC must beat Tshandama Young Stars when they meet at the Tshandama Grounds on Saturday if they are serious about promotion. Sisters are currently in second position on the log with 28 points from 12 outings. Their promotion hopes were jeopardised by last Saturday's 1-1 draw against Masakona Liberty Experience. Sisters were only one point behind the pace setters, Sinthumulekutama FC, before Saturday's match.
Should they fail to collect the maximum points against Young Stars on Saturday, Sisters will have only themselves to blame. Young Stars are battling to win matches this season. They have managed to register only one win in 12 matches. Amen Ndou, Mashudu "Mudagasi" Davhana, and Arinao Mudzielwana will cause havoc in the Sisters' danger area if they are not well contained.
Merwe United Ladies are gearing up for a tough match. They will host Rodadau FC at the Merwe Grounds in the Malamulele area. Rodadau are not in the right frame of mind, following last Sunday's 0-1 defeat at the hands of Lacoste Morning Stars.
Masakona Liberty Experience will host Sealene Ladies at the Masakona Grounds. This will be Sealene's second away fixture in a row after they were beaten 1-3 by Real Mighty Ladies at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani last Sunday.
Real Mighty Ladies will play their second home match in succession. They will contest for league points against Lacoste Morning Stars in the only match scheduled for Sunday.
