At the age of only 12, Tshinakaho Bidzha is taking the modelling industry by storm. The young model from Tswinga village, outside Thohoyandou, is among the top 20 finalists for the Miss Elegance Limpopo pageant, which will take place at the Polokwane Library Gardens on 30 September.
Tshinakaho has already won two modelling competitions so far, including the Miss Tswinga Primary School 2022 title. Although she only started modelling professionally last year, she grew up watching modelling competitions on TV, which inspired her to become a model herself.
"One thing I love about being a model is that you learn to give back to the less fortunate, and you also get to know other people and how they live. I have also gained a lot of self-confidence, and now I believe that anything is possible, and that I should never limit myself," she said.
Regarding the upcoming beauty pageant, she seems to be ready. "I am in it to win it. I want this to be the third competition I win. I want to win as many competitions as I can while I am still young, so that when I grow up, I have a good modelling profile. This will enable me to enter big pageants, like Miss South Africa and Miss Universe."
