Zamenkomste Liverpool were crowned the champions of the Livhuluvhe Foundation Top 8 tournament after beating Ramantsha Blackpool 5-4 in the final played at Ramantsha on Sunday. The winner had to be determined by a penalty shootout after no team could score a goal in regulation time.
Liverpool played entertaining football from the onset, but their strikers were unlucky. Blackpool also realised their day at the office would be difficult when their leading goal scorer, Mudimeli, fumbled at the goal finish. He received a neat pass from Mashudu Mafunisa within the box and shot wide with the stranded keeper already beaten. Mudimeli committed another blunder a little later.
