Rhumba artist Giyani Joseph Mbiza, popularly known as Zozo, said he was honoured to be part of this year's Makhadzi One Woman Show and promised an energetic performance.
The annual event, conceived by international music star Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known as Makhadzi, will take place at Makhuvha Stadium on 20 December and Rabali Stadium on 21 December. It is hosted by Makhadzi Events.
Makhadzi, known for her high-energy performances and chart-topping hits, will headline the show. Supporting acts include Cassper Nyovest, DJ Zinhle, Nomcebo Zikode, Benny Mayengani, Aymos, Mawhoo, JR Player, Mickey Black, Gusba Banana, Shandesh, Rofhiwa Manyaga, Lwah Ndlukulu and Asa Tee.
Zozo said he was excited to share the stage with some of the country's leading artists. "I am turbo charged and ready for the big day. Fans should expect fireworks as my group and I, the Sengere Superbeat, will be on top of our game. We have polished our stage craft and have been in rehearsals since we were booked. We have besides the energetic male crew added two female backing singers and dancers who have added a sparkle on stage," he said.
The artist, who is preparing to release a new album after the success of Thavha Volume 18, released in March 2024, said his performance would reflect his long musical journey.
"I will be dishing my old-time hits and also from my last album. Don't miss us and the electrifying Makhadzi, as we take the stage for two unforgettable nights of music, dance, and entertainment," Zozo said.
