A resident of Vyeboom village in the Ha-Masia area, Hangwani "Princess” Mudau, is an entertainer to reckon with. She has been entertaining thousands of youths with her talks and dances, as master of ceremonies for many youth ministry conferences and as a presenter on Hlanganani FM.
She is currently hosting "The Morning Shake-up" on Monday to Friday from 06:00 – 09:00.
“I enjoy every moment I am on air, and my listeners are like a family I have always had,” she said. “They always make me feel at home when I am behind the microphone.”
She said that she had to do an interview like everybody else in order to see herself eventually working for Hlanganani FM.
“I went for auditions at Hlanganani FM and made it through,” she said. “I'm really grateful to Hlanganani FM as a community radio station for giving young people (just like me) from different backgrounds a chance and a stepping stone to their dreams.”
She stated that every radio presenter must respect the seat that they occupy – which is that of being on air. “One thing I've realised is the kind of influence radio has on listeners,” she said. “They trust and take almost everything from radio as it is. So, we need to ensure that we respect the people and evaluate the information before we deliver it. It is only in that way that we will maintain our relationship with the communities out there.”
She describes her early days in the village as “good and amazing”, even though they lacked a platform for young people to showcase their talents. “Life was fine,” she said. “As young people, we never knew where to go, what to do with the talents we had, so most talents just went to waste.”
Princess P works as a youth pastor and full-time receptionist or personal assistant at the Abundant Life Grace Church at Ha-Masia. She attended Tshinavhe Secondary School at Vyeboom; she went on to study for a Network Technician at Boston College, and a Bachelor of Theology at Baptist Theological College.
She has one strong motivational message for the youth out there: “You have purpose, you matter; work hard and don't give up on your dreams.”

Tshifhiwa Given Mukwevho was born in 1984 in Madombidzha village, not far from Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo Province. After submitting articles for roughly a year for Limpopo Mirror's youth supplement, Makoya, he started writing for the main newspaper. He is a prolific writer who published his first book, titled A Traumatic Revenge in 2011. It focusses on life on the street and how to survive amidst poverty. His second book titled The Violent Gestures of Life was published in 2014.

Tshivenda traditional-music lovers are in for a treat with a collaboration between Tshivenda traditional music legend and veteran Solomon Mathase and popular poet and guitarist Dzomo la Venda. The two were spotted on Saturday, 20 April, at a function in Thohoyandou where they showcased their talents during a live performance.
During a Sunday sermon, Bishop Johannes Muofhe of the World Mission Church’s Fondwe branch prophesied that a musician, someone other than a member of the worship team, would emerge from the church.
With a successful roots-reggae album titled “Shandukani” to his name, Fhatuwani Richard Mashele is quickly becoming a household name in South African music. Better known as Jah Saint in music circles, Mashele believes that success does not come overnight and that one must work hard to earn it.
Khathutshelo Dzaga from Thohoyandou Block G, known as Khathu within music circles, has captivated her fans with her latest song, “Muvhonetsheli”. The song is a collaboration with Uber Black and features Racha Kill. The song is in Khathu’s familiar style, often described as a mixture of amapiano and Afro-beat.
