A new age hip hop artist from Shayandima, Rofhiwa Nemakonde has just released a new CD, Hopes and Dreams. He is better known on stage as Madboyworldwide.

Nemakonde (27), who is both singer and composer, said that his music is a mix of kwaito, trap music and RNB. He said that his music is a little different from the well-known Venda rap music.

His hopes and dreams is to inspire the future generation, hence the title of the CD. It is his second album. The first one, Madfam, was released in 2016. The new CD consists of eight tracks, with Monalisa, 3am in the city, Candy Magidimisa and Cyril Ramaphosa among the songs.

Nemakonde added that, with the track Cyril Ramaphosa, he was embracing the fact that Ramaphosa is the first Venda president, saying none have ever dreamt that the country will be ruled by a Venda person, who was born and bred in dusty village of Khalavha.

He further said that, with the track Candy Magidimisa, who is one of the actors of the Muvhango Tshivenda soapie, he acknowledges his role model. She also his every day support system.

Hopes and Dreams was recorded at Swagod studios in Shayandima town. For booking and live performances, Nemakonde can be contacted @ 082 735 5630.
