Newly published author Billy Mulovhedzi had a passionate relationship with a certain girl, but sadly the relationship ended because of irreconcilable differences. This personal experience in his relationship prompted him to write a book titled “Understanding Men”, which essentially highlights what men want from women. The book was launched at Skilpadvlei Farm in Stellenbosch on Saturday, October 28.
Mulovhedzi is originally from Mbilwi, outside Thohoyandou, but is now based in Cape Town. His love for reading was the spark that ignited his desire to start writing. “I have read books like ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki, ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’ by David J. Schwartz, and many other interesting books that inspired me to write my own book. I just didn’t know where to start. A breakup with a certain girl marked the beginning of a new era in my life when I decided to put my experience on paper. I noticed that other men were also experiencing the same problems as I did in their relationships,” he said.
Mulovhedzi mentioned that, to address the most serious problems experienced in relationships, he also had extensive conversations with other men—some married and others in serious relationships. “This book is going to help women understand men and provide them with a better understanding of what men expect and want from them, along with much more that they may not have known about men. Men are straightforward creatures that are easy to understand. That’s why I chose the title ‘Understanding Men.’ This is a profoundly informative book, and I highly recommend it to every lady out there who wishes to build a solid relationship with her man. This also applies to those who are single and aspire to have a successful relationship one day,” he said.
