In an effort to nurture and groom young talent, the Miss Teen Venda pageant was recently hosted at the Avkhom Hotel in Thohoyandou.

One of the organisers, Precious Hangwani, said that the purpose of the pageant was to groom teenagers, teaching them self-confidence and how to embrace their beauty by understanding that beauty is not just to have a pretty face. “Beauty with a purpose is all about being Miss Teen Venda. We want to help young stars to reach their dreams,” she added.

Ronewa Muremela was crowned the queen, while Bianca Manyange was crowned as the first princess. Abigail Ndouvhada was chosen as the second princess and Thovhedzo Netshimbolimbo was crowned Miss Personality.

The queen received R5 000, the first princess R2 000 and the second princess R1 000. The winners also received a modelling contract with Precious Glamorous Model Management.
