No match for Joe Maweja

 

While the other affiliates of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League were fighting for points over the past weekend, that was not the case with the Vhembe side, Joe Maweja.

They were supposed to have played against Boyne Young Tigers at Boyne, but according to reports, the officials of Young Tigers told the match officials that they were not going to play the match, saying they were convinced that the match officials were not going to officiate the game fairly.

After  discussions with the officials from both sides, the referee finally blew the final whistle and the players went back to their respective dressing rooms. The provincial secretary of the league, Mr Patrick Seema, was still waiting for the reports from the match officials and the clubs at the time of going to press

In other matches, Madridtas beat Mighty FC 2-0 at the Tshifudi Stadium, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila shared the spoils with Molemole Academy  1-1, Bellevue Winners Park crushed Gawula Classic 4-0, Polokwane Academy beat Lephalale Young Killers 2-0, The Dolphins beat Great North FC 3-1 and A1 Terrors donated points to Polokwane United, following their 0-1 defeat at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
