Several MMK teams fined by DC

 

Several heavy fines were imposed on Safa Vhembe MMK League clubs during the league's disciplinary committee meeting that was held last Thursday.

Berea FC fielded an improperly registered player in their match against Igwe FC. They were fined R6 000 for the offence and Igwe were awarded the league points. Lwathudwa FC abandoned their match against Berea FC and a fine of R5 000 was imposed on them. Berea were awarded the three league points.

Tshiilamusi Top Challengers were found guilty of assaulting a match official during their match against Maramanzhi Mountain Sweepers. They were fined R3 000.

Rainbow Sport Academy were fined R3 000, half of which was suspended for assulting a match official in their match against Zamenkomste FC.  A player of Rainbow, Litshani Mamutshidzi, was suspended for the rest of the 2016/17 soccer season.

Makovha All Stars failed to provide soccer kit during their league match against Shigamani and they forfeited the league points to Shigamani. A fine of R2 000, half of which was suspended, was imposed on them.

The match between LTT Murunwa TVET College and Mpheni Home Defenders was stopped when the supporters of Murunwa threatened the referee. Defenders were leading 1-0 at that stage. Murunwa were fined R3 000 and the teams were ordered to replay the match at a neutral venue.
