Mikhado and Academy in Motsepe clash

Another busy weekend lies ahead for the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League. Three of the four Vhembe-based sides, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Mikhado FC and Joe Maweja, will play their matches at home, while Madridtas will be the travellers.

Mikhado will meet Polokwane Academy at the Rabali Stadium on Sunday. While it will be a matter of life and death for Mikhado, Polokwane Academy must win the match in order to remain in the race for the league title. The strikers of Mikhado, Edward Malaka, Ndamulelo Mugadi and Nicolus Sitsei, will not find it easy against the Academy defenders, John Maake, David Thabethe and Solomon Seroka.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, who recently sold their franchise to the MMK Administrators League side Musina United, will host Madridtas FC at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium in Musina on Sunday. Both Tshakhuma and Madridtas are not safe when it comes to relegation.

The spirit is high in the Tshakhuma camp after selling their franchise three weeks ago. They collected the maximum points in the only match they played under the new management. They beat Giyani Hotspurs 2-1 at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium two weeks ago.

The rookies, Baroka FC, will host Great North FC in their Polokwane derby at the Ngoana Mahube Stadium. Ndengeza FC will entertain Giyani Hotspurs at the Giyani Stadium in their Mopani derby. Hotspurs must win the match to enhance their chances of escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season.

Mighty FC will have a date with Boyne Young Tigers at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Joe Maweja will play against the pace setters, The Dolphins, at the Louis Trichardt Rugby Fields, while Magezi FC and Polokwane United will lock horns at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane.
