Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
If the club’s marketing manager, Mr Livhuwani Madzuhe is to be believed, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) will be campaigning in the Absa Premiership Division next season.
According to Mr Madzuhe, their aim is to finish their league programme on top of the log and gain automatic promotion to the elite league.
Following their 1-0 victory over Witbank Spurs at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday, TTM are now lying in the second position on the log with 19 points accumulated from 10 matches. TTM are one point behind the pace setters, Stellenbosch FC.
According to Madzuhe, their aim is to win all their remaining home matches and play to at least a draw away from home. He indicated that the fact that they managed to hold Stellenbosch FC to a 1-1 draw at the latter’s home ground two weeks ago was a clear indication that Stellenbosch would soon drop from the top of the log.
Stellenbosch strengthened their position by crushing University of Pretoria FC 3-0 at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria last Saturday.
TS Sporting moved three steps up the log, following their 2-0 victory over Cape Umoya United at the Kabokweni Stadium in Nelspruit. They are now in the third spot with 18 points. Three teams, Uthongathi FC, Mbombela United and University of Pretoria, have 16 point each.
Ajax Cape Town, who were one of the hot favourites for the league title in the beginning of the season, are in the seventh spot with 15 points. Jomo Comsos, who are battling to find a winning combination, are in the eighth spot.
Ubuntu Cape Town are languishing at the bottom of the log with 3 points. They are still to win a league match this season.
