The winners of the four streams in the Mathoho knock-out competition will participate in the finals of the competition at the Makhado Show Grounds on Saturday, 14 October.
The competition is played under the auspices of the Makhado LFA. The total amount of the sponsorship is R100,000.
The teams that will compete in the finals are: Ndiitwani Shooting Stars from Vuwani/Tshakhuma, Madodonga United Stars from Sinthumule/Kutama, Mphadzha Try Again from Hlanganani/Tshitale and Mamuhohi Home Boys.
The champions will go home with R5,000, gold medals a soccer kit and a floating trophy, while the runners-up will receive R3,000, silver medals and a soccer kit. The teams ending third and fourth will receive R2,800 and R2,000 respectively, as well as new soccer kits.
According to the chairperson of the Makhado LFA, Mr Freddy Phathela, the final will attract many soccer lovers. He appeals to the big teams to come and scout young talented players on Saturday. The first semifinal will start at 10:00 and the final will be played at 15:00.
