Magesi want to tame the cats and stay on top

The fight for promotion and to avoid relegation continues this weekend in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, with six matches set for Saturday, one for Friday, and one for Sunday afternoon.

All eyes will be on the Limpopo derby between Black Leopards and Magesi FC at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday. Both teams have strong incentives to secure maximum points. Black Leopards, currently in seventh place with 29 points, can climb to fourth position on the log with a victory over Magesi. Additionally, they seek revenge for their 0-2 defeat against Magesi FC last September at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Magesi FC, leading the league with 36 points, are determined to maintain their position at the top. Both teams enter the match with confidence, having secured victories in their previous weekend's fixtures. Magesi defeated Baroka FC 2-0 at Polokwane's Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, while Black Leopards secured an unexpected 2-0 win against Casric Stars in an away fixture.

Black Leopards' head coach, Mr Solly Luvhengo, expressed confidence in their current form, emphasizing their determination to secure victories in all remaining home matches and aiming for at least a point in away fixtures.
