This publication – shortlisted for the Poetry Award in the South African Literary Awards 2024 – explores (among others) themes of love, crime, language, and a loss of friendship. Chiefly, the loss of friendship (or trust) is a poignant theme, and it's interesting to consider how the poet navigates the emotions and reflections that come with such an experience.
